Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Draa Valley - Zagora
Departure from Marrakech early in the morning, direction South through the summits of the High Atlas: the Tizi n'Tichka, 2260m high. Along the way, you will discover Berber villages and dream landscapes, to join one of the fortified kasbah Ait Benhaddou, classified as a UNESCO heritage. Visit and lunch.
In the afternoon, continuation by the Draa valley which extends over 200 kms to reach Zagora. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Zagora - Tamegroute - Mhamid - Erg Lihoudi
After breakfast, visit of Zagora, the Jewish district of Amzerou and its palm grove.
Take the road towards the desert, with a stop in the original 16th century city: Tamegroute. Visit of the koranic library and the underground Kasbah.
Arrival at M'hamid, where the Draa valley and civilization stops. Lunch in a typical Kasbah.
Departure from M'Hamid in the afternoon. Depending on the season, you will be able to meet nomadic families and enjoy the Bedouin life.
On your arrival, take time to admire the beautiful sunset. Dinner and night at the Berber camp under the nomad tents, then wake around the campfire under the stars.
Day 3: Erg Lihoudi - the sacred oasis - the dunes of Chegaga
After breakfast, camel ride to the heart of the Sahara. Two hours ride to reach M'hamid. Travel by 4wd through the desert landscapes; break to enjoy a Berber tea at the sacred oasis. Arrival to the dunes of Chegaga - the most important dunes of the region which extend over 40 kms. Dinner with entertainment. Night under tents.
Day 4 - Dunes of Chegaga - Foum Zguid - Taznakht - Marrakech
After enjoying the sunrise over the sand dunes, breakfast at the camp. Departure in 4X4 on the mythical Paris-Dakar road that leads to Foum Zguid, crossing the dry lake of Iriqui. Lunch in the Berber village of Taznakht. Arrival in Marrakech around 19h00.
