Leave Marrakech early in the morning to head for the coastal town of Essaouira “Mogador”.
Along the way you will enjoy the argan trees, you may be lucky enough to see local goats perched in the trees and feeding on the fruits and leaves. At the women’s argan oil cooperative, you will have the opportunity to learn about the many applications of the oil, from cosmetics to medicines. After several photo stops, continue your journey to Essaouira.
You will have the opportunity to explore the medina, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, discovering beautiful art and craftwork, including objects carved from local Thuya wood. You will visit the Skala fortress, the port, walking through the narrow streets of the medina and passing by hundreds of handicrafts. Today, you will have lunch the Moroccan way, buying fish “cooked to order”. In the middle of the afternoon, return to Marrakech.
