Lazing Around In The Chegaga Dunes

Day 1: Agadir - Taroudant - Taliouine - Foum Zguid - Erg Chegaga.

Around 08am, departure from your hotel by 4wd car with driver, for a 7 hours trip, including several stops.

On the way, stop to discover the fortified town of Taroudant and its old ramparts, then the Berber village of Taliouine known by the production of saffron, before a lunch break in Foum Zguid.

After Foum Zguid, the road crosses the dry lake of Iriqui, once a favorite place of southern gazelles, to reach the sand dunes of Erg Chegaga.

A welcome drink will be offered to you on arrival. After settling into your tents, you will witness the unique and picturesque sunset behind the dunes, then enjoy the tasty local dinner served in tent or under the stars around the campfire.

Overnight in tents.

 

Day 2: Discovery and Relaxation at Erg Chegaga

Breakfast in the camp.

Several possibilities are offered on site to spend this day.

At 09am, departure for a day trip to visit a nomadic Berber family, picnic lunch in a shady oasis, and return to the camp.

Other optional activities can be organized on your request, such as quad biking, camel riding at sunset, or discovering the surroundings by 4wd.

This unforgettable day will be for you a discovery of the desert and nomadic life.

Tasty dinner in tents and overnight stay in the camp.

 

Day 3: Erg Chegaga - Lake Iriqui - Taliouine - Taroudant - Agadir.

Return to the coastal city of Agadir.

Agadir is 7 hours by car, crossing a panorama and diverse landscapes, from the sandy desert to the heights of the old chain of the Anti-Atlas, via Foum Zguid, which you will reach after 3 hours of driving.

Stop at the Berber village of Taznakht with an optional visit of the women's weaving cooperative. The journey continues towards the coast with a lunch stop in Taliouine. Arrival in Agadir around 6 pm
